Though this blog is dedicated to sharing nostalgic moments of the music industry in Nigeria, it is not out of place to acknowledge and share the wins of our Afrobeats acts. Of particular note is the BET Best International Act carted away by Tems and the outstanding BET stage performance by Fireboy who lost out on the Best International Award Category.
It has been a long way coming for Nigerian home-grown artistes picking International awards until recent years when they broke into winning major awards culminating with the Grammy win by Burna Boy.
So we say congratulations to Tems.
